The volunteer accompaniment-transportation service is a transportation service provided by a volunteer driver as part of the activities of a community and volunteer organization recognized by the Centre intégré santé et services sociaux (CISSS).

The role of volunteers is to participate, motivate and provide the necessary help to the participants of the day activities. They also participate in the preparation and service of meals. The volunteer is responsible for completing the tax returns properly using the computerized program provided by the Canada Revenue Agency. The volunteer visits seniors in the Aylmer sector to break the isolation by listening. The volunteer regularly makes calls to certain seniors in the Aylmer sector to ensure their well-being and to listen to them. This service provides support to seniors in Aylmer with completing various types of forms. |
